christmas concert dinner

The Christmas Dinner Concert is Tuesday, Dec. 4th.  This is a GREAT night in the life of the band as it gives us a chance to showcase three outstanding musical groups and offers a unique chance for parents to enjoy some fellowship time during the dinner. To make reservations for the Concert Dinner, which features our Jazz Band as entertainment during the dinner, just e-mail info@helenahighband.com and reserve your spot for dinner.  Dinner includes a loaded baked potato bar complete with all the toppings you can want (including Bar-B-Que), salad, dessert and drinks.  Cost is $10 per plate and you pay at the door upon arrival.


Parents! If you are available to volunteer to help with the dinner, please notify Krista Causey at krista.causey@gmail.com.  It's an easy and fun volunteer opportunity. We need help from 3:30-5:30 to help prepare the food and serve it. We also need help from 6:30-7:30 to help with clean up after the dinner.  We have always had great support from our Visual Ensemble parents who pitch in so that musician parents aren't having to miss their kids perform in either of the concerts, but we would love to have help from anyone who wants to volunteer.

"I would like to STRONGLY encourage you to come join us during the dinner.  The Jazz Band only plays during the dinner on this concert and as well as the Spring Concert Dinner, so if you miss this portion of the evening, you are really missing out on a great group and a lot of fellowship with the other parents.  Plus, you have to eat before the concert, so you might as well join us to eat AND be entertained at the same time.The Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform their portion of the concert  in the auditorium starting at 7:00 p.m., and as always, will end the evening combined on the final tune surrounding the entire auditorium."
